Doubles Challenge has announced its 2026 entry list and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> and Serena Williams are nowhere to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>The event took place for the first time in 2025 as top singles star were placed together in the first week of the US Open with $1 million in prize money on the line.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament was won by Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori, who will be back in the tournament to defend their crown at the Flushing Meadows event.<\/p>\n<p>Last year saw teams such as Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu, Novak Djokovic and <span>Olga Danilovi\u0107, and Amanda Anisimova and Holger Rune, but none of those teams are back for the 2026 event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>More tennis news<\/h2>\n<p><a compete against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/casper-ruud\">Casper Ruud<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/iga-swiatek\">Iga Swiatek<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jack-draper\">Jack Draper<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/jessica-pegula\">Jessica Pegula<\/a>, both of whom were paired together for the 2025 event.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, there will be North American duo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Leylah-Fernandez\">Leylah Fernandez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/frances-tiafoe\">Frances Tiafoe<\/a>, brother-sister team Peyton Stearns and Preston Stearns, and brand-new team <a Other starrry duo who have signed up for the tournament are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/alexander-zverev\">Alexander Zverev<\/a> and Taylor Townsend, Diana Shnaider and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Daniil-medvedev\">Daniil Medvedev<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/mirra-andreeva\">Mirra Andreeva<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/andrey-rublev\">Andrey Rublev<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Kei-Nishikori\">Kei Nishikori<\/a>, who will play the event for the first time in what is his final year in tennis, is set to be partnered with Grand Slam champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/naomi-osaka\">Naomi Osaka<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, new USTA chief executive Craig Tiley said: \u201c\u201cAnytime you can bring women and men together on the same team, you showcase tennis at its best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eight more sets of names are set to be added as wildcards, so there is still hope for fans wanting to see Alcaraz at the Grand Slam pre-event.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz has been widely rumoured to be pairing with Williams, who herself returned to tennis during the grass court swing in June. She played Queen\u2019s, the Berlin Open, and Wimbledon.<\/p>\n<p>In the latter, she played in the singles, where she lost in the first round to Maya Joint.
