It was an interesting celebration; not only was Final Fantasy 14&#8217;s iconic lead, Naoki &#8216;Yoshi-P&#8217; Yoshida, in attendance, but the show also brought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/final-fantasy-7-remake-review-a-faithful-remake-with-a-few-missteps-along-the-way\">Final Fantasy 7 Remake<\/a> lead Naoki Hamaguchi back to Europe, too.<\/p>\n<p>At the show, the two hosted a panel talking about all things Final Fantasy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/games\/final-fantasy\/final-fantasy-6-8-or-9-remakes-would-need-even-more-games-than-the-ff7-trilogy-yoshi-p-warns-wed-probably-end-up-having-to-release-them-in-4-or-maybe-even-5-installments\/\">thanks, GamesRadar<\/a>) &#8211; straying away from the confines of just the hugely popular MMORPG (which, we learned, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/final-fantasy-14-evercold-teaser-trailer-switch-2-details\">is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 version much sooner than expected<\/a>). The scale is just immense. And the same applies for other titles like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/final-fantasy-viii\">Final Fantasy 8<\/a>, Final Fantasy 9.&#8221; He then turns to Hamaguchi and says: &#8220;So, of course, now because you are working on the Final Fantasy 7 series, I do get that people would be asking for remakes of other titles. But if we did remake those other titles, we&#8217;d probably end up having to release them in four or maybe even five instalments.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hamaguchi then chimed in saying how he feels remarkably grateful that a lot of his team have stuck around for the full FF7 Remake trilogy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/the-big-final-fantasy-7-revelation-interview\">something we touched upon in my big interview last week<\/a>), noting that is actually not that common in the games industry. &#8220;That&#8217;s why I can&#8217;t just sit here and go, &#8216;Yeah, yeah, I&#8217;ll remake [FF6],&#8217; because it&#8217;s not quite that easy,&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>He goes on to note that he&#8217;s spoken about Final Fantasy 6 in the past, and whenever he does, there are eventually stories about him working on a remake of the game. &#8220;Every time I give that answer to a journalist or someone, the next day there\u2019s an article online saying \u2018Hamaguchi will be remaking Final Fantasy 6\u2019.
