Cook produced album, \u2018ZIRP!\u2019, sharing the news with a cryptic hotline sent out to some fans.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>READ MORE: DIIV\u2019s Zachary Cole Smith one year after LA\u2019s wildfires: \u201cIt feels like swimming in trauma\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Set to arrive on October 30, news of the record came with no advance singles or press announcements, and the band instead made the reveal by sharing a pre-save link \u2013 which you can find here \u2013 on Instagram over the weekend.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Cook also re-shared a teaser on his own stories, while some fans received physical business cards in the post containing a QR code leading to DIIV\u2019s website, as well as a phone number.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em>Stereogum<\/em>, if you call the number, you\u2019re met with old school telemarketer-style messaging that promises the new album will be \u201cthe future of alternative multimedia entertainment\u201d. Adopting the language of a pushy start-up, there\u2019s also talk of the way it will \u201cchallenge assumptions,\u201d \u201ccreate entire new categories,\u201d and \u201cthink on a global scale\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration arrives at a moment when Cook\u2019s career is booming. Adopting the language of a pushy start-up, there\u2019s also talk of the way it will \u201cchallenge assumptions,\u201d \u201ccreate entire new categories,\u201d and \u201cthink on a global scale\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration arrives at a moment when Cook\u2019s career is booming.
