New cars really are expensive these days, aren\u2019t they? The entry level Ford is a \u00a325k Puma<\/a> and an Abarth 500e<\/a> starts at just under \u00a328k. Heck, even the Dacia Sandero<\/a> will now set you back almost \u00a315,000.<\/p>\n

Oh, and this Range Rover<\/a> just cost its new owner over \u00a31m. Yeesh.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This is in fact the world\u2019s first \u00a31m Range Rover, and it\u2019s the last in the 25 strong run of Holland & Holland Editions by Overfinch<\/a>. Although given the price tag, we\u2019re assured this particular one was a bespoke commission and that it\u2019s a \u201cuniquely specified evolution\u201d of that car that already described itself as the most expensive Range Rover in the world.<\/p>\n

So, what does that amount of cash get you? Well, there\u2019s all the usual Holland & Holland Rangie bits, including the pair of terrifyingly expensive \u2018Royal\u2019 shotguns. They\u2019re not far off \u00a3400k on their own. The walnut and leather chests in the boot aren\u2019t cheap either, particularly when filled with crystal glasses, fancy champagne and an H&H picnic set.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There\u2019s a deep black paint for the exterior, with the grilles, vents and other metal details finished in gold. Inside you\u2019re looking at ivory leather with black piping, an incredible amount of walnut and beautiful bespoke bird embroidery. Although yes, those are the birds that you\u2019re then supposed to go and shoot with your fancy shotguns.<\/p>\n

Anyway, there\u2019s also some wonderful, handcrafted moorland marquetry on the table between the rear seats that separates this from the other 24 H&H cars that Overfinch has built, and it was handed over to its new owner in a \u2018strictly private\u2019 part of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
