Dacus welcomed the frontman to the stage before the pair delivered a stripped-back rendition of the 1972 ballad, which Dacus recorded for the expanded edition of her fourth album, \u2018Forever was one of several guests to appear during Dacus\u2019 Newport set.\u00a0Hayley Williams joined her for \u2018Bullseye\u2019,\u00a0which features\u00a0Hozier\u00a0on the studio version, while\u00a0Madi Diaz appeared for a performance of \u2018Heavy Metal\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Dacus had earlier made a guest appearance during Williams\u2019 own star-studded set at the festival, joining the\u00a0Paramore\u00a0singer alongside\u00a0Jack Antonoff,\u00a0Jenny Lewis,\u00a0Remi Wolf, Wednesday\u2019s Karly Hartzman and Joy Oladokun.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration with Flowers came after\u00a0Dacus joined The Killers on stage at Osheaga Festival in Montreal last August for a rendition of \u2018Read My Mind\u2019.\u00a0Dacus later asked fans to share their footage of the performance, writing: \u201cI wish I had a video of the whole thing, that was one of the best moments of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boygenius had previously covered\u00a0\u2018Read My Mind\u2019 during their early live shows, with Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers\u00a0and\u00a0Julien Baker\u00a0releasing a performance\u00a0of\u00a0the track in 2018.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Dacus released \u2018Forever Is\u00a0A\u00a0Feeling\u2019 in March 2025.\u00a0In a four-star review,\u00a0<i>NME<\/i> wrote that the record saw her \u201cdive headlong into love\u201d, adding that she had captured \u201cthe rush, terror and total surrender of giving yourself over to another person\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She shared her first\u00a0new music\u00a0of 2026 in April with \u2018Planting Tomatoes\u2019, which had originally been released as an exclusive seven-inch for Record Store Day.<\/p>\n<p>Flowers, meanwhile,\u00a0is preparing to release his third solo album, \u2018Thrasher\u2019,\u00a0on August 21 via Island Records. He has so far previewed the Nashville-recorded project with the singles \u2018Plans\u2019 and \u2018Paradise\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the album, Flowers said he had \u201cfound my way back to my father\u2019s music\u201d,\u00a0adding: \u201cI\u2019m larger now than I was 20 years ago, and I\u2019ve unlocked a room that feels like it\u2019s been waiting for me all along.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He will while\u00a0Madi Diaz appeared for a performance of \u2018Heavy Metal\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Dacus had earlier made a guest appearance during Williams\u2019 own star-studded set at the festival, joining the\u00a0Paramore\u00a0singer alongside\u00a0Jack Antonoff,\u00a0Jenny Lewis,\u00a0Remi Wolf, Wednesday\u2019s Karly Hartzman and Joy Oladokun.<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration with Flowers came after\u00a0Dacus joined The Killers on stage at Osheaga Festival in Montreal last August for a rendition of \u2018Read My Mind\u2019.\u00a0Dacus later asked fans to share their footage of the performance, writing: \u201cI wish I had a video of the whole thing, that was one of the best moments of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boygenius had previously covered\u00a0\u2018Read My Mind\u2019 during terror and total surrender of giving yourself over to another person\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>She shared her first\u00a0new music\u00a0of 2026 in April with \u2018Planting Tomatoes\u2019, which had originally been released as an exclusive seven-inch for Record Store Day.<\/p>\n<p>Flowers, meanwhile,\u00a0is preparing to release his third solo album, \u2018Thrasher\u2019,\u00a0on August 21 via Island Records.
