Tadej Poga\u010dar and his record-tying fifth Tour de France title produced one of the most lopsided prize money payouts in recent Tour history.<\/p>\n

According to the final prize money standings released Sunday, UAE Emirates-XRG collected \u20ac832,750, more than 36 percent of the Tour\u2019s entire \u20ac2.3 million prize pot.<\/p>\n

The figure dwarfed every other team in the race.<\/p>\n

Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe finished a distant second with \u20ac288,160, while Lidl-Trek rounded out the \u201cprize money podium\u201d with \u20ac204,870 after Mads Pedersen\u2019s stage wins and green jersey campaign.<\/p>\n

No other team even reached \u20ac200,000.<\/p>\n

The gap helps to show how thoroughly Poga\u010dar and UAE demolished the three-week race.<\/p>\n

The UAE superteam won six stages, two jerseys and the team competition, and put two riders on the final podium. Not to mention the daily payouts for days for stage victories, classification prizes, and daily leader\u2019s jersey payments right from start to finish.<\/p>\n

In the Tour\u2019s GC-and-jersey heavy payouts, the top four teams collected nearly 65 percent of all prize money available at this year\u2019s Tour.<\/p>\n

Big drop for Visma-Lease a Bike<\/h2>\n

The numbers also helped tell the story of Visma-Lease a Bike\u2019s difficult Tour.<\/p>\n

After Jonas Vingegaard crashed out while sitting second overall, Visma arrived in Paris in eighth in the final prize money rankings with \u20ac71,210. The Killer Bees finished with less cash than EF Education-EasyPost, Bahrain Victorious, and Alpecin-Premier Tech.<\/p>\n

The disparity of payouts becomes even bleaker further down the standings.<\/p>\n

In fact, UAE earned more prize money than the bottom 19 teams combined.<\/p>\n

Picnic PostNL brought up the rear and earned the smallest paycheck for three weeks of slogging on the bike with \u20ac12,770. Next came wild card invite Caja Rural-Seguros RGA (\u20ac13,570) and Groupama-FDJ United (\u20ac14,700).<\/p>\n

Ineos Grenadiers \u2014 once the dominant force of the Tour \u2014 leaves France with just \u20ac23,760, a paltry return that echoes another frustrating July for the British squad.<\/p>\n

Prize money has never been the biggest financial reward in professional cycling \u2014 that comes from the seven-figure-salaries the top pros are earning now \u2014 but the final payout in Paris is one last confirmation just how lop-sided the 2026 Tour became.<\/p>\n

This Tour de France wasn\u2019t close, and neither was the prize money.<\/p>\n

As the saying goes, to the victor go the spoils.<\/p>\n
