Or what\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0become.\u00a0So\u00a0I thought\u00a0it\u2019d\u00a0be cool to try to be Bob Dylan for a night.\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0trying to turn Bon into Bob.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Earlier on Friday, Vernon also played a separate, unannounced set of Bon Iver material.<\/p>\n<p>The surprise solo performance was billed simply as \u201cBon\u201d and replaced\u00a0Kevin Morby\u2019s scheduled appearance after the singer-songwriter withdrew from the festival following the birth of his first child with\u00a0Waxahatchee\u2019s Katie Crutchfield.<\/p>\n<p>Vernon opened by covering Morby\u2019s \u2018Die Young\u2019,\u00a0before playing Bon Iver songs including \u2018Beach Baby\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Flume\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Speyside\u2019 and\u00a0\u2018Re: Stacks\u2019.\u00a0The seven-song set also included the early rarity \u2018Hayward, WI\u2019 and \u2018Room\u00a0To\u00a0Spare\u2019,\u00a0an unreleased tribute to the\u00a0late\u00a0John Prine.<\/p>\n<p>It marked Vernon\u2019s first full set of his own material since\u00a0Bon Iver completed their touring commitments in 2023. Series\u2019,\u00a0as well as\u00a0Neil Young\u2019s extensive archive releases.<\/p>\n<p>Bon Iver released their fifth album, \u2018SABLE,\u00a0fABLE\u2019,\u00a0in April 2025.\u00a0In a four-star review, <i>NME\u00a0<\/i>described the record as a \u201ccreative rebirth\u201d, adding that although some fans had feared it might represent the end of the project, it instead felt like \u201ca new
