The highly anticipated lot is an ultra-rare, pre-production F.P. Journe Chronom\u00e8tre \u00e0 R\u00e9sonance, which carries a pre-sale estimate of 500,000 \u2013 1 million CHF (approx. $617,270 \u2013 $1.12 million USD).<\/p>\n<p>Officially launched to the public in 2000, the Chronom\u00e8tre \u00e0 R\u00e9sonance made horological history as the world\u2019s first wristwatch to successfully harness the physical phenomenon of resonance. By utilizing two closely positioned balance wheels that subtly influence each other to synchronize their oscillations, the innovative movement drastically improves the watch\u2019s overall timekeeping consistency. Belonging to a group of only about ten Pre\u2011Production examples, this reference predates the better\u2011known Souscription and Pre\u2011Souscription Resonance watches.
