The surprise reveal generated plenty of discussion, but most of the talk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/god-of-war-laufey-more-kratos-games-coming\">centered on the game&#8217;s new protagonist, Faye<\/a>. And according to Faye actress Deborah Ann Woll, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/god-of-war-laufey-pitched-in-2018\">the idea existed all the way back when the reboot was released<\/a> in 2018, nearly 10 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>But the star remains gloriously unbothered by the negative criticism the game reveal has triggered. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/god-of-war-laufey-deborah-ann-woll-unbothered\">Woll recently said she&#8217;s &#8220;totally unbothered&#8221; by the backlash surrounding the upcoming game<\/a> because she knows &#8220;it&#8217;s great&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>God of War Laufey is in development exclusively for PS5. <\/p>\n<p>We had a feeling the game would release before January 2028, as Santa Monica Studio had explicitly confirmed that the next GoW game &#8220;will be available on disc&#8221;, presumably to quieten the backlash around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/sony-ending-playstation-discs-physical-media-january-2028\">Sony&#8217;s shock news that it&#8217;s halting physical media as of January 2028<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/sony-ending-playstation-discs-physical-media-january-2028\">Sony&#8217;s decision to end all physical media on PlayStation<\/a>, including for games not published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, was announced on 1st July.
