Her death was later ruled to have been caused by accidental alcohol poisoning.<\/p>\n<p>In an\u00a0interview with\u00a0<i>The i<\/i>,\u00a0Janis\u00a0has\u00a0reflected on the scale of the fame her daughter faced\u00a0in her life.\u00a0\u201cShe was a victim of her own success,\u201d she\u00a0said. \u201cShe\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0want it, but it just followed her. And\u00a0she\u2019d\u00a0be like, \u2018Who, me?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Janis also speculated about why she believes Amy was susceptible to addiction. \u201cShe didn\u2019t have confidence. Hence the alcohol,\u201d she explained. \u201cI think it\u2019s the same with many, many addicts with alcohol. The alcohol takes away the pain. And that is a horrible thing with addiction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce you\u2019re addicted, you\u2019re addicted,\u201d she continued. \u201cThe only boss\u00a0is the addiction. People say, \u2018Oh, no, you just stop doing such and such\u2019.\u00a0They\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0get it. You\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0stop because your body is saying I need it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Addressing her ongoing grief, Janis said: \u201cI\u2019m\u00a0just getting on with it because\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0what I do. I get on with life. since\u00a0Winehouse was found dead at her home in Camden, North London, aged 27. Her death was later ruled to have been caused by accidental alcohol poisoning.<\/p>\n<p>In an\u00a0interview with\u00a0<i>The i<\/i>,\u00a0Janis\u00a0has\u00a0reflected on the scale of the fame her daughter faced\u00a0in her life.\u00a0\u201cShe was a victim of her own success,\u201d she\u00a0said. \u201cShe\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0want it, but it just followed her. And\u00a0she\u2019d\u00a0be like, \u2018Who, me?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Janis also speculated about why she believes Amy was susceptible to addiction. \u201cShe didn\u2019t have confidence. Hence the alcohol,\u201d she explained. \u201cI think it\u2019s the same with many, many addicts with alcohol. The alcohol takes away the pain. And that is a horrible thing with addiction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce you\u2019re addicted, you\u2019re addicted,\u201d she continued. \u201cThe only boss\u00a0is the addiction. People say, \u2018Oh, no, you just stop doing such and such\u2019.\u00a0They\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0get it. You\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0stop because your body is saying I need it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Addressing her ongoing grief, Janis said: \u201cI\u2019m\u00a0just getting on with it because\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0what I do. I get on with life.
