\n\tAlongside his band Te Vaka, Foa\u2019I played a \u201cpivotal role in shaping the cultural identity of the Moana<\/em> soundtrack,\u201d a statement reads, and he continued this legacy in the franchise with Moana 2<\/em> (2024) and the recently-released live action Moana <\/em>remake.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Billions Award acknowledges the rights society\u2019s songwriter members and their publishers, and takes into account streaming numbers from Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s said to be the first award of its kind to celebrate a songwriter\u2019s streaming achievement, and is the inspiration for the BPI\u2019s BRIT Billion Award, which the U.K. trade association introduced in 2023.<\/p>\n

\n\tPrevious inductees into APRA AMCOS\u2019 1,000,000,000 List\u00a0 include Tame Impala\u2019s Kevin Parker (for \u201cThe Less I Know The Better\u201d), Flume (\u201cNever Be Like You\u201d), Troye Sivan and Alex Hope (\u201cYouth\u201d), Tones And I (\u201cDance Monkey\u201d), 5 Seconds of Summer (\u201cYoungblood\u201d), and SHOUSE (\u201cLove Tonight\u201d).<\/p>\n
