It\u2019s used by amateur athletes, pro coaches, and Tour de France teams to track workouts and plan workout calendars.<\/p>\n<p>TrainHeroic offers a similar model, albeit for strength training.<\/p>\n<p>Garmin\u2019s acquisition of TrainingPeaks and TrainHeroic gives it a foothold in all the key nooks of the fitness world.<\/p>\n<p>However it\u2019s not yet clear what the acquisition means for users.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unknown how the Swiss-registered Garmin brand will use the data stored TrainingPeaks and TrainHeroic, or how the platforms will exist after the acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Questions also remain about ongoing paid athlete and coaching subscriptions to those platforms, and what happens to the integrations that feed into them.
