lows on the ATP Tour in 2026 this year.<\/p>\n<p>Berrettini enjoyed a return to form at Roland Garros, where he reached the quarter finals. His injury issues once again caught up with him, however, as he was forced to retire in his last eight match against Matteo Arnaldi.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz, meanwhile, started the season with a flourish by winning the Australian Open. He followed it up by winning the Qatar Open, but that was the last title he has been able to collect.<\/p>\n<p>He suffered early exits at the Sunshine Double and then suffered a wrist injury at Barcelona Open, which forced him to miss Roland Garros and Wimbledon.<\/p>\n<p>The pair have remained in positive spirits, however, as showcased by their recent communications on social media.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Matteo-Berrettini\">Berrettini<\/a> shared a photo dump on <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DbGuk8XCnLk\/?img_index=14\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a> alongside the caption: \u201cLiving is a bit like wasting time\u201d and several tennis players took to the comments.<\/p>\n<p>The likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/tommy-paul\">Tommy Paul<\/a> and Andrea Pellegrino, and so did World No 3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Alcaraz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>More Carlos Alcaraz news<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/atp-tour\/tommy-pauls-coach-reveals-tactic-designed-beat-carlos-alcaraz-jannik-sinner\">Tommy Paul\u2019s coach reveals the tactic designed to beat Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/daniil-medvedev-praised-for-better-than-carlos-alcaraz\">Patrick Mouratoglou says what Daniil Medvedev does that is even better than Carlos Alcaraz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard sent the message: \u201cHow well you know how to enjoy life,\u201d which the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/wimbledon\">Wimbledon<\/a> finalist replied to almost immediately.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian responded: \u201cTrying to learn from the best,\u201d which several led several fans to flock to the comments.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz and Berrettini are no strangers to each other on the court, having met four times previously on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/ATP-Tour\">ATP Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the pair have not met for over three years, with their last match coming at Wimbledon in 2023. Alcaraz won the match in four sets to confirm his place in the quarter finals of the grass court Grand Slam, before he went on to win the tournament for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz has also won two of his other three meetings with Berrettini. Those came at the Rio Open and the Vienna Open, both of which went the distance and required a deciding set.<\/p>\n<p>Berrettini\u2019s only victory against Alcaraz came at the 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/australian-open\">Australian Open<\/a>.
