\u201cDune is not simply a lifted supercar. It is an entirely new species of performance vehicle,\u201d reads the rather confident press release for Rezvani\u2019s latest wild creation. And yes, that is very much a dig at Lamborghini\u2019s own Hurac\u00e1n Sterrato<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s because Rezvani \u2013 purveyors of armoured, apocalypse-proof SUVs<\/a> \u2013 has taken the Hurac\u00e1n a little bit further with its lift kit and off-road prep.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So, while the factory Sterrato rode 44mm higher than a standard Huracan, the Dune gets a monster 114mm lift from its new suspension setup. Combine that with the supremely chunky 31in mud-terrain tyres and you\u2019re looking at a 152mm lift in total vs the standard, road-going supercar. Overall ground clearance is now 279mm, and there are approach and departure angles of 25 degrees and 35 degrees respectively. For reference, the Sterrato\u2019s were 10.4 and 26.5 degrees.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty of underbody protection for the Dune too. And the small matter of 800bhp from its now-supercharged 5.2-litre V10. That power is of course sent to all four wheels, and there\u2019s a completely redesigned carbon body with a swoopier shape, a giant roof scoop and auxiliary lights integrated into the front bumper.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Just seven Dunes will be built in total, and you can reserve one now with a $1,500 deposit. No word on how much you\u2019ll have to cough up after that for the finished article.<\/p>\n
