<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> after the Spanish superstar\u2019s appearance at the World Cup final sparked concerns about his wrist.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Alcaraz attended the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina in New Jersey, and he played a prominent role in football\u2019s showpiece occasion by bringing the trophy onto the pitch before kick-off.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Alcaraz<\/a> then watched from the crowd as his country won 1-0 to claim their second World Cup title, and he later celebrated with the Spanish players on the pitch.<\/p>\n<p>Cameras panned to Alcaraz several times during and after the match, and the 23-year-old was seen wearing a support on his right wrist, which raised fears among some tennis fans.<\/p>\n<p>The seven-time Grand Slam champion has not played in over three months due to a right wrist injury that surfaced at the Barcelona Open.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=yRTWhh2ulro&amp;t=1155s\" target=\"_blank\">Served<\/a> podcast, Roddick weighed in on the discussion about Alcaraz\u2019s wrist after the world No 3\u2019s latest public appearance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I was like, \u2018oh gosh, that\u2019s not great\u2019, but also, if I\u2019m him, if you\u2019re in a bunch of people and you\u2019ve had a wrist injury, I would 100% have some marker that\u2019s like, \u2018don\u2019t come up and shake my hand\u2019. But obviously, we\u2019re gonna have all eyes on the wrist area always, until we see him come out and he\u2019s ripping it.
