What you are looking at here is the very first Ferrari Luce<\/a> production car. As if you\u2019d mistake it for anything else.<\/p>\n

And in exciting news for the three people on the Internet that liked Ferrari\u2019s first crack at an EV, this very car is heading up for auction at RM Sotheby\u2019s Monterey sale during the upcoming Car Week. No official estimate on how much it\u2019ll go for, but we are told that it has a \u2018value in excess of \u00a3800,000\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

That\u2019s largely because, while the standard Luce will cost just under half a million quid, this particular one (Chassis no.0 no less) was customised through the Ferrari Tailor Made programme. As such, it gets fancy \u2018Madreperla Semi-Gloss\u2019 white paint with \u201ciridescent reflections that evolve from green to violet depending on the intensity and angle of the light\u201d. There\u2019s also white wheels, white brake calipers, and you can guess what colour the special leather is inside too. All very Apple Car. Marc Newson and Jony Ive would be proud.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re told that the car \u2013 which has been built to US spec \u2013 is fitted with a dedicated plaque to mark it out as the first Luce production car, and all the proceeds from the sale will apparently benefit The Ferrari Foundation \u2013 a registered charity that is \u201ccommitted to generating opportunity through inclusive education projects\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

On completion of the bidding, the Luce will be shipped back to Maranello, with the final delivery not actually taking place until the first quarter of 2027.
