Kennedy was first introduced in 1998\u2019s <i>Resident Evil 2<\/i> and quickly became a fan-favourite character. Since the release of the<i> Resident Evil 2 Remake<\/i> in 2019, the character has been voiced by Nick Apostolides.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Responding to a fan on Cameo, Apostolides has spoken about the music that helps him get into the headspace of Leon. \u201cI really take a lot of deep inspiration from music to get into the right mindset because music puts me in an area of my life [and means I can] draw from real emotion,\u201d he explained, with each game showing Leon at a different time in his life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never really thought about it too much for <i>Resident Evil 2<\/i> but I was listening to a lot of Nirvana at the time. I don\u2019t have one song in particular but that grunge rock energy was good for young Leon,\u201d said Apostolides. \u201cWhen he got a little bit more grizzled in <i>Resident Evil 4<\/i>, I was getting into Alice In Chains. I let songs like \u2018Would?\u2019 and \u2018Them Bones\u2019 be a huge inspiration. Alice In Chains is considered borderline grunge rock but more like acid rock. Slow, dredging, heavy riffs. Love that music. [Their later albums] \u2018Rainer Fog\u2019 and \u2018The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here\u2019 are really dark.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cIn <i>Resident Evil 9<\/i> I used older metal [such as] 1980\u2019s Metallica,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s super heavy, fast with lockstep rhythms. Their song \u2018Orion\u2019 is my favourite song of all time. I had that in my head. It\u2019s just such a heavy riff, and there\u2019s so much behind that song about why they wrote it, how they wrote it. Kennedy was first introduced in 1998\u2019s <i>Resident Evil 2<\/i> and quickly became a fan-favourite character. Since the release of the<i> Resident Evil 2 Remake<\/i> in 2019, the character has been voiced by Nick Apostolides.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Responding to a fan on Cameo, Apostolides has spoken about the music that helps him get into the headspace of Leon. \u201cI really take a lot of deep inspiration from music to get into the right mindset because music puts me in an area of my life [and means I can] draw from real emotion,\u201d he explained, with each game showing Leon at a different time in his life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never really thought about it too much for <i>Resident Evil 2<\/i> but I was listening to a lot of Nirvana at the time. I don\u2019t have one song in particular but that grunge rock energy was good for young Leon,\u201d said Apostolides. \u201cWhen he got a little bit more grizzled in <i>Resident Evil 4<\/i>, I was getting into Alice In Chains. I let songs like \u2018Would?\u2019 and \u2018Them Bones\u2019 be a huge inspiration. Alice In Chains is considered borderline grunge rock but more like acid rock. Slow, dredging, heavy riffs. Love that music. [Their later albums] \u2018Rainer Fog\u2019 and \u2018The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here\u2019 are really dark.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cIn <i>Resident Evil 9<\/i> I used older metal [such as] 1980\u2019s Metallica,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s super heavy, fast with lockstep rhythms. Their song \u2018Orion\u2019 is my favourite song of all time. I had that in my head. It\u2019s just such a heavy riff, and there\u2019s so much behind that song about why they wrote it, how they wrote it.
