Ferrari has been fined an undisclosed sum of money for the \u2018unsafe release\u2019 of the Luce EV, sources have told TopGear.com.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Despite decades of professional experience spent designing, building and releasing desirable luxury cars, the Italian manufacturer has been hit with a huge penalty for releasing something that looks nothing like a desirable luxury car.<\/p>\n

Part of the fine has been suspended for 12 months barring any new additional colourways that make it look like a nauseatingly cheery character from an animated movie.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe stewards heard from the team representative and reviewed online discussion surrounding Luce,\u201d a statement said. \u201cLuce was first announced many years ago and has since been treated to an unholy level of discourse concerning its design, drivetrain and philosophy.<\/p>\n

“Luce then went forward with the team’s head still looking down at its mood board and not at the fact it looked like a misshapen Nissan Leaf.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe team acknowledged that for Luce to have been released in these circumstances was unsafe. The team committed to rescinding Luce from consumption and agreed to a full review to ensure an incident such as this will not be repeated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stewards also noted that the team cannot win in any scenario concerning the release of an electric car,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
