Now, for its 2026 edition, the Armory Show has shifted back a few weeks to run September 24–27.

The change in dates will help alleviate the conflict between two important September fairs, which have both been owned by the same company since 2023, when Frieze acquired the Armory Show. Frieze Seoul will remain in the first week of the month (September 2–5 for this year). The date change, however, also means that there is now less breathing room until Frieze’s next fair, its original iteration in London.

“For Frieze, The Armory Show has a particular role: it sits at the heart of New York’s fall season and gives audiences access to an extraordinary range of galleries from across the Americas and around the world,” Kristell Chadé, Frieze’s executive director of fairs, said in a statement. “The 2026 edition combines the breadth of the fair with a strong curatorial perspective, strengthening The Armory Show’s place as a vital moment for galleries, collectors and institutions in New York.”

For the upcoming Armory Show, the fair will have around 230 galleries, or roughly the same figures it had in 2025. This edition will also slightly rejigger its floor plan, with the south entrance to the fair focusing on galleries from the Americas and Caribbean, while the north entrance will highlight US-based enterprises, with a large contingent of New York–based dealerships spread throughout.

Among the galleries that are set to participate are Victoria Miro, Templon, Mennour, Nara Roesler, Alison Jacques, Perrotin, Michael Rosenfeld Gallery, 303 Gallery, Sean Kelly, Hales, Southern Guild, Vielmetter Gallery, Secrist | Beach, Garth Greenan Gallery, K Contemporary, James Cope Gallery, Yossi Milo, and the newly rebranded Norr Cohan.

In addition to the main Galleries section, the fair will also feature two sections organized by outside curators: Platform and Focus. Platform, which is for large-scale works, will be by Jovanna Venegas, curator at SculptureCenter in New York; Focus, for solo and two-artist presentations, will be done by María Elena Ortiz, curator at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in Texas. Both sections will focus on highlighting artists with ties to the Caribbean.

Focusing on “technological forms emerging across the Caribbean,” per a release, projects that will feature in Platform include Bony Ramirez (brought to the fair by New York gallery regularnormal), Jesus Hilario Reyes (Company), Curtis Talwst Santiago (Uffner & Liu), Lucia Hierro (Marc Straus Gallery), Zenobia Lee (Sea View), Margarita Cabrera (Jane Lombard Gallery), María Magdalena Campos-Pons (Barbara Thumm), and Hew Locke (Cristea Roberts Gallery).

Focus will include booths for Alba Triana (Casa Hoffmann), Gio Swaby and Kachelle Knowles (TERN Gallery), Sofía Del Mar Collins (Chozick Family Art Gallery), Renée Cox (Ethan Cohen Gallery), Simon Benjamin (PATRON), Lizania Cruz (ProxyCo), and Elliot and Erick Jiménez (Spinello Projects).

The fair’s other two sections have also been expanded, with Presents (for young galleries) now numbering 55 galleries and Solo (single-artist presentations) numbering 25 galleries.

Presents will feature several first-time exhibitors, including Catinca Tabacaru, Circle Art Gallery, IRL Gallery, Lobster Club, Management, Rajiv Menon, Red Arrow, and The Fridge.
