And it turns out, he isn\u2019t a fan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeeing Walton Goggins in <i>Fallout <\/i>was amazing. He added a lot of legitimacy to the show. Ella Purnell too, she just has the right features and delivery for being a na\u00efve vault dweller with a little bit of steel in there. Over time, I think people are realising that [game adaptations] are big business. I do kinda wish the writing for TV shows like that, where they\u2019re mimicking a game, was elevated a little bit,\u201d said Avellone, who praised the recent <i>Cyberpunk<\/i> animated spin-off <i>Edgerunner.<\/i> \u201cThat was really cool, I\u2019ve got no problems there but sometimes I just wish the script quality on the <i>Fallout <\/i>TV show was a little higher. I\u2019m over 50, I have to make oxygen choices for what to do with my time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Avellon said that he believes the issue is that Hollywood writers don\u2019t respect the work done by the original game creators. \u201cFor some of them, it\u2019s really easy to dismiss that work and go in their own direction. They just want to rush off and do their own take on what they believe it is. They want to make it their own. They want to be able to reference their own lore and context, because it\u2019s just easier but it creates a lot of missed opportunities,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\">\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p>A third season of<i> Fallou<\/i>t is currently in the works, with the show\u2019s star Aaron Moten suggesting it could run for as many as six seasons.<\/p>\n<p>The first season of<i> Fallout<\/i> was rewritten to avoid plot points that had been earmarked for <i>Fallout 5<\/i>, but boss Todd Howard has since confirmed the upcoming game will be influenced by the live-action adaptation. \u201c<i>Fallout 5 <\/i>will be existing in a world where the stories and events of the show happened or are happening.
