Pre-order\/pre-save here.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Following on from previous track, \u2018That\u2019s Me\u2019, Keo\u2019s latest offering begins with a delicate acoustic guitar intro before quickly opening up into a widescreen, soaring anthem.<\/p>\n<p>The emotional cut delves into \u201cthe strange persistence of memory; how people, relationships and experiences continue shaping us long after they\u2019ve disappeared\u201d, per a press release.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Speaking about the single, frontman Finn Keogh explained: \u201cI had the imagery of dead stars stuck in my head when writing \u2018Pistol\u2019. The idea of something having died years ago but only now seeing its light. I think that imagery can be just as real with people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He sings: \u201c<em>Sometimes you see the light, but it\u2019s been gone for years\/ And I\u2019ll never forgive myself for that\/ No, I never meant to paint you black<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The \u2018Pistol\u2019 title itself was taken from a lyric that never made the final version of the song, which Keogh couldn\u2019t let go of. According to Keogh, the material emerged from what he called \u201ca convergence of personal chaos; an unflinching examination of shame, accountability, memory and the uncomfortable process of recognising parts of yourself you\u2019d rather avoid\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The frontman self-produced the record alongside guitarist Jimmy Lanwern, with the project taking inspiration from the likes of\u00a0Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden and Radiohead. The idea of something having died years ago but only now seeing its light. According to Keogh, the material emerged from what he called \u201ca convergence of personal chaos; an unflinching examination of shame, accountability, memory and the uncomfortable process of recognising parts of yourself you\u2019d rather avoid\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The frontman self-produced the record alongside guitarist Jimmy Lanwern, with the project taking inspiration from the likes of\u00a0Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden and Radiohead.
