The official runtime of Zach Cregger\u2019s Resident Evil adaptation has finally been revealed by AMC Theaters, and it seems to hold up with reactions from early test audiences.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As of July 15, movie-lovers can find Cregger\u2019s Resident Evil listed on AMC\u2019s website<\/u><\/a>, which lists the flick at one hour and 35 minutes long.<\/p>\n

Given the film comes out in September, tickets still aren\u2019t available to buy, but you can set a reminder for when sales eventually open.<\/p>\n

This runtime makes perfect sense, given Cregger\u2019s previous comments about what we can expect from the movie, which he admitted will have less zombies than viewers might expect.<\/p>\n

Cregger said its main character, Bryan (Austin Abrams), is pursued by a creature<\/a> shown off in the trailer in his terrifying tale of survival in Raccoon City during the events of Resident Evil 2.<\/p>\n

Speaking with PlayStation<\/u><\/a> in April, Cregger revealed that the story is focused on \u201cfollowing a character from point A to point B\u201d in a singular, focused viewer experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou go on this crazy journey, and you go through all these different environments, and things just seem to be escalating and escalating. That feels so cinematic to me,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just following a different person who\u2019s on a mission in this horrible night when things are going wrong in Raccoon City, and they\u2019ve got to get something from point A to point B.\u201d<\/p>\n

This holds up with viewer feedback from early screenings of the film, with test audiences describing it as an “all gas, no brakes”<\/a> thrill ride and the “Fury Road of horror.”<\/a><\/p>\n
