In addition to Siren Head at Warner Bros., Deadline reports a horror film based on artist Trevor Henderson\u2019s character, Cartoon Cat<\/em>, is now also in development at Sony\u2019s TriStar Pictures. Though no writer or director is currently attached to the project, the outlet states Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Scott Glassgold, J. Todd Harris, Thomas Pettinelli, Marc Marcum are producing.<\/p>\n

Child\u2019s Play 8<\/h2>\n

During his recent appearance at Creep I.E. Con (via Bloody-Disgusting), Brad Dourif revealed he\u2019s heard several pitches for an eighth Child\u2019s Play<\/em> movie from director Don Mancini.<\/p>\n

If I know Don, I would say what he\u2019s going to do is something completely different than I had thought of- that nobody had thought of. The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum<\/h2>\n

Andy Serkis spoke about his use of A.I. to digitally de-age the characters in The Hunt for Gollum<\/em> during a recent interview with Variety.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a little bit of de-aging for some of the characters and machine learning is part of the process. When you think about it, in the original Lord of the Rings<\/em> films, Peter created MASSIVE, which was a program which allowed 1000s of orcs to all have their own individual mindset. So that is a brilliant example of an incredible use of AI. But we\u2019re not creating AI shots in our movie, every shot is created in a traditional way. One of the things actually that I really wanted to do with this film was to bring back all of the great filmmaking skills, from miniatures to prosthetics and marry them up, because that\u2019s my taste. I like it when you mix up different filmmaking techniques.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
