What you have to do is honour the original text by interpreting it in the strongest way you personally can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cIn the end, fans of the property \u2013 even when we were doing something that was not what they would have done \u2013 enjoyed the sincerity of the attempt to put as good a version of it on screen as we could.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAll I can do is make the best film I possibly can in the most sincere way. film is adapting \u201ca mythological story\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The comments come after Nolan recently explained\u00a0why he opted for modern English dialogue in\u00a0<i>The Odyssey<\/i>, saying he wanted to find \u201clanguage that has emotional not intellectual meaning to people\u201d, opting for contemporary accents and dialogue over a more theatrical approach.<\/p>\n<p>Nolan also recently revealed that\u00a0Samantha Morton\u2019s performance as the goddess Circe earned an ovation on set that reminded him of Heath Ledger\u2019s work on\u00a0<i>The Dark Knight<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p><i>The Odyssey<\/i>\u00a0had its London premiere earlier this month, with\u00a0early reactions describing it as \u201ca triumph\u201d and \u201ca crowning cinematic
