It\u2019s a dream to share a stage with one of the main reasons I\u2019m in a band \u2013 Interpol and [Interpol\u2019s touring member] Matt from The Walkmen. It\u2019s a huge privilege and a fucking dream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier that afternoon, Interpol had played the same stage, bringing the festival to a close alongside a headline performance from Spanish rapper Dellafuente, plus sets across the site from Lily Allen, HorsegiirL, Italo-disco duo Mind Enterprises and more.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3956503\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3956503\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3956503\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/BBL26_Idles-@sergioalbert_-01-2.jpg\" alt width=\"2000\" height=\"1270\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3956503\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">IDLES play Bilbao BBK Live 2026. Photo credit: Sergio Albert<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>IDLES opened their set with a blistering new song, \u2018Levitator\u2019 \u2013 a hint towards their forthcoming sixth LP that the group have been starting their shows with throughout the summer.<\/p>\n<p>The track finds Talbot calling out <em>\u201cracist c**ts\u201d<\/em> before unleashing its chorus call to arms: \u201c<em>Violence is majestic, coming from a righteous rage\/ Violence is majestic when you\u2019re coming of age.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Last month, guitarist Mark Bowen revealed to <i>NME<\/i> that the band were well underway with writing their \u201cmost exciting\u201d album yet, and hinted that they were looking to go back to the sound of their earlier material for album six.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got back in the studio to write, and we\u2019ve kinda gone \u2013 I don\u2019t want to say back to basics because that\u2019s cliche \u2013 but it\u2019s a bit back to basics!\u201d he told NME, speaking on the red carpet at the Ivor Novello Awards where he was nominated alongside Florence Welch for Best Song Musically and Lyrically with the title track to Florence + The Machine\u2019s latest album \u2018Everybody Scream\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s five members in a room thrashing it out on instruments. Lots of arguments, [which is great because] if it\u2019s too nice, then it\u2019s not sick. the group were one of his biggest reasons for starting a band.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Speaking midway through their main stage set on Saturday (July 11), Talbot declared to the Basque Country crowd: \u201cThanks for making us feel so at home and so loved so far from home. It\u2019s a dream to share a stage with one of the main reasons I\u2019m in a band \u2013 Interpol and [Interpol\u2019s touring member] Matt from The Walkmen. It\u2019s a huge privilege and a fucking dream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier that afternoon, Interpol had played the same stage, bringing the festival to a close alongside a headline performance from Spanish rapper Dellafuente, plus sets across the site from Lily Allen, HorsegiirL, Italo-disco duo Mind Enterprises and more.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3956503\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3956503\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3956503\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/BBL26_Idles-@sergioalbert_-01-2.jpg\" alt width=\"2000\" height=\"1270\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3956503\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">IDLES play Bilbao BBK Live 2026. Photo credit: Sergio Albert<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>IDLES opened their set with a blistering new song, \u2018Levitator\u2019 \u2013 a hint towards their forthcoming sixth LP that the group have been starting their shows with throughout the summer.<\/p>\n<p>The track finds Talbot calling out <em>\u201cracist c**ts\u201d<\/em> before unleashing its chorus call to arms: \u201c<em>Violence is majestic, coming from a righteous rage\/ Violence is majestic when you\u2019re coming of age.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad1 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"taboola-mid-article-title\">Recommended<\/h5>\n<div id=\"taboola-mid-article\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Last month, guitarist Mark Bowen revealed to <i>NME<\/i> that the band were well underway with writing their \u201cmost exciting\u201d album yet, and hinted that they were looking to go back to the sound of their earlier material for album six.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got back in the studio to write, and we\u2019ve kinda gone \u2013 I don\u2019t want to say back to basics because that\u2019s cliche \u2013 but it\u2019s a bit back to basics!\u201d he told NME, speaking on the red carpet at the Ivor Novello Awards where he was nominated alongside Florence Welch for Best Song Musically and Lyrically with the title track to Florence + The Machine\u2019s latest album \u2018Everybody Scream\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s five members in a room thrashing it out on instruments. Lots of arguments, [which is great because] if it\u2019s too nice, then it\u2019s not sick.
