Just like the wine producers, the race organizers will hope for a fine vintage.<\/p>\n<p>Marcel Kittel won a very similar stage of the\u00a0Tour de France from P\u00e9rigeux in 2017, while the three other stage finishes in Bergerac were time trials won by Jacques Anquetil, Miguel Indurain, and Tony Martin.<\/p>\n<p>Breakaways are inevitable today, particularly with some rising roads towards Thenon early on, but the only categorized climbs come later in the stage.<\/p>\n<p>They are both category 4 ascents, with the C\u00f4te de Domme and the C\u00f4te du Buisson-de-Cadouin both located in the second half of the day\u2019s racing, but being followed by a long, fast run-in towards the line.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>With few sprint opportunities coming before this stage, expect the green jersey contenders to start to solidify, with those in form becoming more and more obvious.
