I think \u2018Filthy Lucre\u2019 shows not only that we can play but we are a powerhouse. Long live rock\u2019n\u2019roll.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cook added: \u201cIt\u00a0wasn\u2019t\u00a0all about the \u2018filthy lucre\u2019 \u2013 that title was always ironic \u2013 it was about getting the original lineup behind \u2018Never Mind\u00a0The\u00a0Bollocks, Here\u2019s The Sex Pistols\u2019 back together and showing what we could really do. I loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Filthy Lucre\u2019 tour was named after a 1976\u00a0<i>Daily Express\u00a0<\/i>headline \u2013 \u201cPunk? Call It Filthy Lucre\u201d \u2013 and saw the band reunite after their original implosion at the end of a 1978 US tour, which concluded at San Francisco\u2019s Winterland Ballroom.\u00a0It also brought Matlock back into the fold, having left the group in 1977 before being replaced by the late\u00a0Sid Vicious.<\/p>\n<p>The Finsbury Park show came at the height of Britpop and Euro \u201996 fever. I loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Filthy Lucre\u2019 tour was named after a 1976\u00a0<i>Daily Express\u00a0<\/i>headline \u2013 \u201cPunk? Call It Filthy Lucre\u201d \u2013 and saw the band reunite after their original implosion at the end of a 1978 US tour, which concluded at San Francisco\u2019s Winterland Ballroom.\u00a0It also brought Matlock back into the fold, having left the group in 1977 before being replaced by the late\u00a0Sid Vicious.<\/p>\n<p>The Finsbury Park show came at the height of Britpop and Euro \u201996 fever.
