Former Miami Heat teammates Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro were involved in a physical altercation in Las Vegas on Friday morning, the Heat confirmed to The Athletic<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The incident took place at a gym inside the Resorts World Casino in front of an AAU team run by Herro. According to multiple sources who witnessed the incident and who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, Adebayo walked onto the courts and Herro said something to him. Adebayo approached Herro and, without hesitation, punched him. Herro\u2019s AAU coach confronted Adebayo, and Herro yelled at his former teammate while being escorted out by security personnel. Both players left the scene on their own.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Las Vegas Police Department said officers were not called to the scene. The Heat told The Athletic<\/em> that they were aware of the incident and declined to comment. A Bucks spokesperson and several members of Taylor Jenkins\u2019 coaching staff said they were unaware of the incident and also declined to comment.<\/p>\n

Herro\u2019s agents, Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman, did not return calls seeking comment.<\/p>\n

Miami and Milwaukee played each other in Summer League action Friday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Miami won the game 119-86. Herro attended the game and sat with new teammates Ryan Rollins and Ousmane Dieng as well as two of the other players, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kel\u2019el Ware, who were also traded from Miami to Milwaukee this week. Bobby Portis, who was moved to Miami in the trade, was also sitting courtside with some of his Heat teammates, but Adebayo did not attend Friday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

In an interview during the stream of the game on Prime, Herro said of his former Miami teammates, \u201cIt\u2019s all love. It\u2019s all love in Miami. I\u2019ve seen a couple of the guys, and the coaching staff. Chris Quinn, Spo, front office guys. We are all good in Miami and just the opportunity for both sides to reset, get a fresh start and we\u2019re both super happy for this.\u201d<\/p>\n

The interview took place shortly before news of the altercation with Adebayo emerged. Herro chatted with his new Bucks teammates and general manager Jon Horst at the completion of Friday\u2019s game before leaving the court and walking out of the arena. Herro declined to comment on the altercation.<\/p>\n

Adebayo and Herro played together for the Heat for seven seasons. Herro was part of the package of players and draft pick compensation that the Heat sent to the Bucks<\/a> on Monday to pry Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

Following the trade, a fan leaked a series of screenshots of direct messages that appeared to come from an Instagram account connected to Herro.
