semi-final against Alexander Zverev was shrouded in controvery just four games in as he wasn\u2019t happy with a call from the umpire.<\/p>\n<p>Fery went down an early break against Zverev in what is undoubtedly the biggest match of his career, but he felt hard down by as the umpire missed a let call in the eyes of the British star.<\/p>\n<p>Zverev hit an \u2018ace\u2019, which Fery was certain hit the let on its way past him.<\/p>\n<p>He took objection with the umpire instantly, bringing a halt to play on Centre Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis one was way more obvious than the first one,\u201d said the British star, indicating it wasn\u2019t the first time a let call had been missed in the first four games of the first set.<\/p>\n<h2>More Wimbledon news<\/h2>\n<p><a the lack of technology at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/wimbledon\">Wimbledon<\/a> and told the umpire there should be a machine to record let calls, rather than leaving it up to just the umpire.<\/p>\n<p>In the change-over, Fery continued his complaint by stating: \u201cThere\u2019s no machine? It\u2019s just you? It would be good to have a machine no? I know you\u2019re doing your best, but it goes on quite often.<\/p>\n<p>The BBC commentary team of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/john-mcenroe\">John McEnroe<\/a>, Andrew Cotter, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/Tim-henman\">Tim Henman<\/a> were equally as surprised that the decsion was missed by the umpire.<\/p>\n<p>Cotter said: \u201cThat\u2019s just the way it is, there\u2019s no machine anymore,\u201d while Henman, who is on the board at the All England Club, explained why there is no technology for let calls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s mad with all the technology we have, the electronic line calling. There was a let device but it didn\u2019t work,\u201d said the former Wimbledon semi finalist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019d think that someone would come up with a better piece of technology but in the Slams there hasn\u2019t been a let call device for quite some time. It\u2019s just the umpire that calls it \u2013 or doesn\u2019t call it as the case may be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fery did not let the decision affect him, however, as he broke <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/alexander-zverev\">Zverev<\/a> in the game to break back and get back on serve at 2-3. He followed that up by holding his serve to take the match back level at a scoreline of 3-3.<\/p>\n<p>Fery is looking to become the first British Wimbledon finalist since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/andy-murray\">Andy Murray<\/a> in 2016.
