Raising Hell <\/em>served as Run-D.M.C.\u2019s third album, which arrived on May 15, 1986. The project debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and was powered by singles like their cover of Aerosmith\u2019s \u201cWalk This Way,\u201d \u201cMy Adidas\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s Tricky.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRaising Hell<\/em> is the prototype, the blueprint. It\u2019s the Sgt. Peppers of hip-hop. It made everybody after us, if you want to do an album, you got to do it on that level,\u201d D.M.C. continued. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWalk This Way\u201d notched the first-ever top five hit for a hip-hop single on the Billboard Hot 100, as it reached No. 4. <\/p>\n

\n\tRun-D.M.C. knocked down plenty of doors in their journey. They were the first hip-hop group to receive a Grammy nomination and Raising Hell <\/em>was the first rap album to go platinum. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c40 years, I pray it lives up to how me and D felt in \u201987 going on tour,\u201d Run added. \u201c[Producer] Jam Master Jay was everything to Raising Hell<\/em>\u2026 He was like the one-man-band making Raising Hell.<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n
