upgrades during the 2026 Formula 1 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>McLaren\u2019s difficult start to its double title defence continued at the British Grand Prix, with reigning world champion Lando Norris finishing fourth, and Oscar Piastri ending up out of the points after first lap contact.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Despite a solid points haul from the weekend, which also featured a sprint race, McLaren was well off the pace of frontrunners Mercedes and Ferrari, with Stella putting the gap to its main F1 rivals at around \u201chalf a second\u201d and describing P4 in the grand prix as an some directions from a conceptual point of view, that as we learn more about the 2026 regulations, I would say that we are redirecting,&#8221; Stella told media including<em> Crash.net.<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd this, like everything, especially from an aerodynamic point of view, is not something that you can get to converge in the space of a week. So I think that&#8217;s what we believe \u2013 we have now a clear direction in terms of development.
