After more than two years of updates, it&#8217;s been confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/palworld-1-0-update-launch-times-save-wipes\">it&#8217;ll hit 1.0 this Friday<\/a>, 10th July. Forget about a price increase though.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, early access games raise their price tags when they&#8217;re fully developed in order to reflect the fact they&#8217;re complete products after a period of development alongside early players. At the same time, the lower buy-in price &#8211; which gets you the full game once it&#8217;s time for the full launch &#8211; entices curious gamers. The welcome announcement arrived alongside confirmation <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Palworld_EN\/status\/2074659735366684929?s=20\">Palworld has now passed 40m players<\/a> since January 2024, which the developer team celebrated with a new recap video that teases what comes next too.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It must be noted 40m unique players don&#8217;t translate into 40m units sold, as Palworld launched straight into Xbox and PC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/xbox-game-pass-games-list-this-month-price-6400\">Game Pass<\/a> in January 2024, where it became <a href=\"https:\/\/news.xbox.com\/en-us\/2024\/01\/31\/palworld-biggest-3rd-party-game-pass-launch-ever\/\">one of the service&#8217;s top third-party releases<\/a>. On 10th July, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.xbox.com\/en-us\/2026\/07\/07\/xbox-game-pass-july-2026-wave-1\/\">Game Pass subscribers will get to enjoy its 1.0 update<\/a> too.<\/p>\n<p>By September 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/alineaanalytics.substack.com\/p\/dying-light-the-beast-hades-and-so\">Palworld had actually sold over 25m copies<\/a>. It&#8217;s unclear what the total number is at the time of writing, but back in March 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/palworld-dev-says-massive-profits-are-too-big-for-a-studio-with-our-size-to-handle\">Pocketpair boss Takuro Mizobe said<\/a> the game&#8217;s initial success was &#8220;too big for a studio with our size to handle&#8221; while expressing his desire to keep the studio small and agile. The company, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesindustry.biz\/were-going-to-see-more-hit-games-coming-from-publishers-youve-never-heard-of-pocketpair-and-the-indie-publishing-revolution\">now has around 110 workers<\/a> as it&#8217;s also expanded its publishing operations.<\/p>\n<p>In Palworld, players fight, farm, build, and work alongside creatures called Pals (not Pok\u00e9mon) in an open world which can be explored and exploited alone or online.
