Unlike the retail version, which employed vibrant red hues as a tribute to the original Air Max 1, this early sample adopts a neutral grey-and-white palette paired with a gum rubber outsole, immediately drawing comparisons to the mythical \u201cTry-On\u201d editions from the late 2000s.<\/p>\n
Notably, the sample already features the geometric, polygon-inspired overlays that gave the \u201cLow Poly\u201d its name. The most noticeable departure from the retail pair comes at the white mesh base, where the retail pair\u2019s polygon-patterned mesh is replaced by a standard white mesh construction.<\/p>\n
The pair appears to be an early production sample used to validate the modified upper before the final colors and materials were approved.
