Following the gig, the venue itself took to social media to say the endless sea of circle pits \u201cshook the walls\u201d while they played.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Several clips from the gig see the band performing to a sea of fans as countless circle pits form. However, they are yet to record a full-length follow-up to their 2005 albums \u2018Mezmerize\u2019 and \u2018Hypnotize\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, guitarist\u00a0Daron Malakian spoke to\u00a0<em>NME<\/em>\u00a0about the chances of more new music from the group, and said that it was the \u201calbum shit that drives wedges between\u201d the members.<\/p>\n<p>Tankian has discussed the possibility of a new SOAD record too, and although\u00a0he said in 2024 that he sees it as a good way to get a \u201cfresh start\u201d,\u00a0he later revealed that he had been put off recording after\u00a0becoming \u201cvery passive\u201d while working on \u2018Mezmerize\u2019 and \u2018Hypnotize\u2019. He later doubled down on the stance,\u00a0dismissing rumours that System would be teasing a new album\u00a0with their\u00a0tour dates, saying: \u201cThere is no album that is written.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joining System Of A Down at all upcoming shows are Queens Of The Stone Age\u00a0and Acid Bath, with the latter having\u00a0reformed in 2025 after a 17 year hiatus. Vulgaris\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In their 12-song set,\u00a0Josh Homme\u00a0and co. began things with the first live performance of \u2018Run, Pig, Run\u2019 since 2008, and then broke out \u2018The Fun Thursday\u2019s (July 2) date at the Stade De France in Paris. Following the gig, the venue itself took to social media to say the endless sea of circle pits \u201cshook the walls\u201d while they played.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Several clips from the gig see the band performing to a sea of fans as countless circle pits form. However, they are yet to record a full-length follow-up to their 2005 albums \u2018Mezmerize\u2019 and \u2018Hypnotize\u2019.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Last summer, guitarist\u00a0Daron Malakian spoke to\u00a0<em>NME<\/em>\u00a0about the chances of more new music from the group, and said that it was the \u201calbum shit that drives wedges between\u201d the members.<\/p>\n<p>Tankian has discussed the possibility of a new SOAD record too, and although\u00a0he said in 2024 that he sees it as a good way to get a \u201cfresh start\u201d,\u00a0he later revealed that he had been put off recording after\u00a0becoming \u201cvery passive\u201d while working on \u2018Mezmerize\u2019 and \u2018Hypnotize\u2019. He later doubled down on the stance,\u00a0dismissing rumours that System would be teasing a new album\u00a0with their\u00a0tour dates, saying: \u201cThere is no album that is written.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Joining System Of A Down at all upcoming shows are Queens Of The Stone Age\u00a0and Acid Bath, with the latter having\u00a0reformed in 2025 after a 17 year hiatus.
