Find all the details below.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"post-content-read-more\">\n<li><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0Deftones\u2019 Chino Moreno on longevity, creativity and making music that lives forever<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Sacramento metal band will top the bill at Victoria Park in the capital on Sunday August 23, as part of a special APE x Outbreak event.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>They were initially joined on the line-up by IDLES,\u00a0Amyl &amp; The Sniffers, Esdeekid, JPEGMAFIA, \u00a5\u00f8u$Uk\u20ac \u00a5uk1mat$U, Basement,\u00a0Wisp,\u00a0Deafheaven\u00a0and\u00a0Show Me The Body.<\/p>\n<p>Organisers then confirmed further openers in February in the form of Interpol,\u00a0AFI,\u00a0Mannequin Pussy, house pioneers\u00a0Salem, techno upstart Blawan, and alt-rock NME 100 graduate\u00a0Ecca Vandal.<\/p>\n<p>Today (Friday July 3), seven more acts have been added to the stacked bill, including NME 100 2026 stars Villanelle and Tooth. The run of shows included an epic, sold-out stop at The O2 in London, and arena dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and Cardiff.<\/p>\n<p>Their summer 2026 calendar features a performance at the Edinburgh Summer Sessions and Dublin\u2019s IMMA, too. In October, the group will appear at the inaugural Texas edition of US festival Sick New World.<\/p>\n<p>Deftones\u2019 10th and latest studio album, \u2018Private Music\u2019, was released last summer. Last year also saw the band play a massive career-spanning concert at London\u2019s Crystal Palace Park\u00a0\u2013 just one day after\u00a0pulling out of their slot at Glastonbury 2025\u00a0at the last minute.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In\u00a0a glowing five-star review of \u2018Private Music\u2019,\u00a0<em>NME<\/em>\u00a0wrote: \u201cRather than just hang off the legacy of the immaculate classics \u2018Around The Fur\u2019 and\u00a0\u2018White Pony\u2019, the Sacramento art-metallers have spent the 21st Century boshing out banger after banger as arguably the most reliable band in rock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It added: \u201c\u2018Private Music\u2019 once again finds the band as masters of beauty and brutality rolling over the horizon in one stunning but powerful storm. Batten down those hatches, throw up those horns, and lean in close.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to\u00a0<em>NME<\/em> in 2025, frontman Chino Moreno said Deftones\u2019 music had always been vulnerable, pointing to \u2018Mascara\u2019 on their 1997 album \u2018Around The Fur\u2019 as proof. He also admitted that his confidence to lay himself out in a love song had grown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I\u2019m no expert in mental health, but speaking for myself, doing therapy and sobriety as well \u2013 which has been a big thing for me to achieve in these last few years \u2013 obviously it was kind of scary in the beginning,\u201d Moreno told us. \u201cThen once you break that wall down and realise, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m probably more creative than I\u2019ve been in the past and a little bit more in tune with what\u2019s going on, with my emotions\u2019. Now I think it\u2019s easier. I used to believe that maybe I had to be in an altered state of mind to have this creative thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, having a bit of clarity and still being able to be creative \u2013 it feels more pristine. It\u2019s more polished and it\u2019s more honest, in a weird way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In other news, Deftones have announced the line-up for the next edition of their Dia De Los Deftones The run of shows included an epic, sold-out stop at The O2 in London, and arena dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and Cardiff.<\/p>\n<p>Their summer 2026 calendar features a performance at the Edinburgh Summer Sessions and Dublin\u2019s IMMA, too. In October, the group will appear at the inaugural Texas edition of US festival Sick New World.<\/p>\n<p>Deftones\u2019 10th and latest studio album, \u2018Private Music\u2019, was released last summer. Last year also saw the band play a massive career-spanning concert at London\u2019s Crystal Palace Park\u00a0\u2013 just one day after\u00a0pulling out of their slot at Glastonbury 2025\u00a0at the last minute.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In\u00a0a glowing five-star review of \u2018Private Music\u2019,\u00a0<em>NME<\/em>\u00a0wrote: \u201cRather than just hang off the legacy of the immaculate classics \u2018Around The Fur\u2019 and\u00a0\u2018White Pony\u2019, the Sacramento art-metallers have spent the 21st Century boshing out banger after banger as arguably the most reliable band in rock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It added: \u201c\u2018Private Music\u2019 once again finds the band as masters of beauty and brutality rolling over the horizon in one stunning but powerful storm. He also admitted that his confidence to lay himself out in a love song had grown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, I\u2019m no expert in mental health, but speaking for myself, doing therapy and sobriety as well \u2013 which has been a big thing for me to achieve in these last few years \u2013 obviously it was kind of scary in the beginning,\u201d Moreno told us. \u201cThen once you break that wall down and realise, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m probably more creative than I\u2019ve been in the past and a little bit more in tune with what\u2019s going on, with my emotions\u2019. Now I think it\u2019s easier. I used to believe that maybe I had to be in an altered state of mind to have this creative thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, having a bit of clarity and still being able to be creative \u2013 it feels more pristine.
