Tadej Poga\u010dar and Jonas Vingegaard headline the start list for the 2026 Tour de France as they resume their era-defining battle for the yellow jersey.<\/p>\n

Below them, this year\u2019s Tour is stacked with superstar cyclists.<\/p>\n

Mathieu van der Poel, Remco Evenepoel, Biniam Girmay, and U.S. national champion Quinn Simmons are among the 184 riders who will line out for the Barcelona grand d\u00e9part<\/em> on July 4.<\/p>\n

Wout van Aert and Oscar Onley are the only key names missing from a Tour de France that\u2019s loaded\u00a0with talent at both ends of the peloton.<\/p>\n

Poga\u010dar, Vingegaard, and Evenepoel are joined by Paul Seixas and Mexican ace Isaac del Toro in the chase for yellow.<\/p>\n

Tom Pidcock, Juan Ayuso, and USA\u2019s Matteo Jorgenson are among almost a dozen riders jostling for a coveted top-5.<\/p>\n

And the sprint field is equally strong.<\/p>\n

Former green jersey winners Girmay and Jasper Philipsen are rivaled by Mads Pedersen, Olav Kooij, and sprint king Tim Merlier.<\/p>\n

Eight North Americans are racing this year\u2019s Tour de France \u2013 six from the U.S. and one each from Canada and Mexico.<\/p>\n

Sepp Kuss, Matthew Riccitello, Sean Quinn, Brandon McNulty, and Derek Gee-West make up the balance of the small but mighty North American contingent.<\/p>\n
