In a new interview, he talked about how the metal genre influenced his character.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe absolutely went for a metal look, I loved that,\u201d he told <em>Kerrang!<\/em>, before sharing the songs that he felt resonated with the character. \u201cI listened to five songs especially,\u201d he said. \u201cTwo from Linkin Park: \u2018Given Up\u2019, with the great Chester [Bennington], and \u2018Up From The Bottom\u2019 from the last album, \u2018From Zero\u2019. I think [Emily Armstrong] is an amazing singer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe really brought it back,\u201d he continued. \u201cThose two songs really express frustration and the fight for raising up from [one\u2019s] own ashes that [resonates] with Max. And songs by Slipknot, Falling In Reverse and Bad Omens. For me, metal is a way of living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That love extends to live performances. \u201cI\u2019m a huge, huge fan of live concerts,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019ve been to a lot, and usually go whenever I can. Sometimes I go to the pit if I can make it, but otherwise I\u2019m privileged enough to enjoy it from a place where I can be left alone. MacDonald, and has been adapted twice for the big screen \u2013 the first in 1962 starring Robert Mitchum as Cady, and secondly in 1990, with Martin Scorsese directing Robert De Niro in the villainous role.<\/p>\n<p>In <em>NME\u2019s<\/em> review of the new series, writer Priya Elan called the show \u201ccloser to the book than Scorsese\u2019s classic\u201d, concluding: \u201c<em>Cape Fear<\/em> from prison and seeks out revenge on the married lawyers (Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson) who represented him 17 years earlier. In a new interview, he talked about how the metal genre influenced his character.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe absolutely went for a metal look, I loved that,\u201d he told <em>Kerrang!<\/em>, before sharing the songs that he felt resonated with the character. \u201cI listened to five songs especially,\u201d he said. \u201cTwo from Linkin Park: \u2018Given Up\u2019, with the great Chester [Bennington], and \u2018Up From The Bottom\u2019 from the last album, \u2018From Zero\u2019. I think [Emily Armstrong] is an amazing singer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe really brought it back,\u201d he continued. \u201cThose two songs really express frustration and the fight for raising up from [one\u2019s] own ashes that [resonates] with Max. And songs by Slipknot, Falling In Reverse and Bad Omens. It\u2019s what I listen to: when I drive, when I\u2019m being driven, before I go to sleep\u2026 Yeah, I listen to Slipknot to go to sleep. For me, metal is a way of living.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That love extends to live performances. \u201cI\u2019m a huge, huge fan of live concerts,\u201d he says. \u201cI\u2019ve been to a lot, and usually go whenever I can. Sometimes I go to the pit if I can make it, but otherwise I\u2019m privileged enough to enjoy it from a place where I can be left alone.
