Instead, they took issue with the approach, saying the messaging shifted responsibility to the guests instead of management. Many commenters stated that guests should not be \u201cbabysitting\u201d the lifties, and other comments criticized management, liftie wages, and proper training.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cLifties being on their phones is a management issue, not a guest-policing issue.<\/strong> Instead of asking customers to \u201crat them out,\u201d pay your lift ops a couple bucks more than the big resorts, train them well, and empower supervisors to actually lead, coach, and hold the team accountable,\u201d one commenter said. This comment was by far the most popular, drawing over 100 likes and multiple replies in agreement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cDefinitely a hostile work environment having customers police staff,\u201d another commenter wrote.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Some comments even mentioned skiing elsewhere. <\/strong>\u201cJust lost me and all my homies\u2019 business with this post. Going to spread the word.
