In the past, they have played Rammstein\u2019s \u2018Sonne\u2019 in Berlin,\u00a0ABBA\u2019s \u2018Dancing Queen\u2019 in Sweden\u00a0and\u00a0a-ha\u2019s \u2018Take\u00a0On\u00a0Me\u2019 in Norway.<\/p>\n<p>At their first show in\u00a0Dublin\u00a0on June 19,\u00a0Hammett fell from the stage during \u2018Seek &amp; Destroy\u2019, with\u00a0the guitarist losing his footing near the edge of the stage, before being helped back up and continuing the song. He later joked about the moment on Instagram, captioning a clip: \u201cSlip &amp; Destroy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u00a0came days after\u00a0Hammett drew criticism from Taylor Swift fans\u00a0for wearing a T-shirt reading \u201cTaylor Swift Is A CIA Psyop\u201d\u00a0at a\u00a0June 13 show in Budapest.\u00a0Hammett\u00a0appeared to address\u00a0the controversy in a recent interview,\u00a0criticising\u00a0the current state of popular music\u00a0by\u00a0claiming: \u201cRight now, songwriting and pop music is crap.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m hoping that all these great musicians who can teach themselves through the internet step up and put all that great learning and all that great inspiration into creating new stuff, new songs, the future of music, and at a higher standard than what it is now,\u201d he added. \u201cBecause\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0say it again, K-R-A-P. Tonight\u2019s surprising, ambitious and giddy gig matches that energy at every turn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the gorgeous \u2018Nothing Else Matters\u2019 through to the unifying \u2018Seek &amp; Destroy\u2019, the majesty of heavy music is on full display throughout the gig as Metallica prove why they\u2019re clearly still the greatest metal band He later joked about the moment on Instagram, captioning a clip: \u201cSlip &amp; Destroy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That\u00a0came days after\u00a0Hammett drew criticism from Taylor Swift fans\u00a0for wearing a T-shirt reading \u201cTaylor Swift Is A CIA Psyop\u201d\u00a0at a\u00a0June 13 show in Budapest.\u00a0Hammett\u00a0appeared to address\u00a0the controversy in a recent interview,\u00a0criticising\u00a0the current state of popular music\u00a0by\u00a0claiming: \u201cRight now, songwriting and pop music is crap.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m hoping that all these great musicians who can teach themselves through the internet step up and put all that great learning and all that great inspiration into creating new stuff, new songs, the future of music, and at a higher standard than what it is now,\u201d he added. \u201cBecause\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0say it again, K-R-A-P.
