Right before we shot that scene, my friend said, \u201cMind if I ride with you?\u2019, and then he plays this song in the car because he knows me so well. My mum and dad were both painters, and Schnabel was a painter [turned director] making a movie about another painter. And then it\u2019s got \u2018Big Take Over\u2019 by Bad Brains, \u2018Kill Them All\u2019 by Metallica, some Rage Against The Machine, Pantera, Ministry, Tool, Slayer and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
