The fact that I love new-wave and rock n\u2019 roll is well documented, but life is long enough to allow for more,\u201d he said in a new social media video, providing a first glimpse into the euphoric, heartfelt sound of the album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWalt Whitman said it best: \u2018I am large, I contain multitudes\u2019\u2026 Well, I\u2019m larger now than I was 20 years ago, and I\u2019ve unlocked a room that feels like it\u2019s been waiting for me all along,\u201d Flowers added, saying that recording with such \u201cseasoned and extremely talented musicians\u201d has been \u201cone of the highlights of my career\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope you hear the joy in the record, because we sure had a blast making it,\u201d he concluded. \u201cThis is not me running away from rock n\u2019 roll. One is a romantic South West record, and the other is a narrative South West record which picks up where [The Killers\u2019 2021 album] \u2018Pressure Machine\u2019 left off,\u201d he shared, before adding that Springsteen was a source of inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe gave me the permission to write about things that I actually know about and experiences that I\u2019ve actually witnessed, that I\u2019ve lived,\u201d Flowers added. \u201cThere\u2019s something powerful about that. When people hear it, it doesn\u2019t matter where they are, they get it and they pick up the heart and the soul from it. Those are the things that I\u2019m able to tap into.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flowers added: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled about both of them, and they\u2019ll both come out before the next Killers record \u2013 but I\u2019m thrilled about the next Killers record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the first of two solo records on the way from Flowers, with The Killers next album said to be coming in One is a romantic South West record, and the other is a narrative South West record which picks up where [The Killers\u2019 2021 album] \u2018Pressure Machine\u2019 left off,\u201d he shared, before adding that Springsteen was a source of inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe gave me the permission to write about things that I actually know about and experiences that I\u2019ve actually witnessed, that I\u2019ve lived,\u201d Flowers added. \u201cThere\u2019s something powerful about that. When people hear it, it doesn\u2019t matter where they are, they get it and they pick up the heart and the soul from it.
