I just love this song, and Hamilton has such a great voice, so he\u2019s gonna come and play a little Walkmen song because he doesn\u2019t do that in his show, well, he does, but not this one. Hamilton Leithauser, come on down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThere he is, the beautiful man. Alright, you good? I\u2019m just gonna dance on the side of the stage. Love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton, who is currently supporting The Strokes on their North America tour, then took over vocal duties while the rest of the band backed him for a version very similar to the original, with its Strokes like guitar riff. Support comes from\u00a0Thundercat,\u00a0Cage The Elephant,\u00a0Hamilton Leithauser,\u00a0Fat White Family, Alex Cameron and \u00d6L\u00dcM, and\u00a0more dates have been added\u00a0due to huge demand.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>All of these shows will see The Strokes perform without guitarist Nick Valensi, as the band confirmed recently that he\u00a0would be taking a \u201ctemporary break\u201d\u00a0from playing live.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Albert Hammond Jr. recently shared why the release of The Strokes\u2019 new album \u2018Reality Awaits, \u2019 has been delayed.<\/p>\n<p>The band had been preparing to release their seventh studio album, with its original date having been set for June 26. However, earlier this month, they announced that it had been pushed back to July 24, without providing a reason. Pre-order the record here.<\/p>\n<p>In a since-deleted response to a fan on X, he explained\u00a0that they decided to\u00a0shift it four weeks later\u00a0because they wanted the streaming release date to match that of the vinyl release. In his comments, he also said\u00a0he thinks the music on the album sounds like that made by a \u201cweird, young band\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Hammond\u2019s comments on the\u00a0new music\u00a0echo what he said last month, when\u00a0he referred to \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019 as his \u201cfavourite album\u201d that The Strokes have ever made. \u201cI can\u2019t express how beautiful it is,\u201d he said. \u201cI listen to the whole thing and wanna start from the beginning again. It grows and grows and becomes intoxicatingly good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His comments followed some pushback from Strokes fans to the early singles \u2018Going Shopping\u2019 and \u2018Falling Out Of sixth album of the same name.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad0 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Addressing the crowd, frontman Julian Casablancas said: \u201cI\u2019m gonna just make my dreams come true. I just love this song, and Hamilton has such a great voice, so he\u2019s gonna come and play a little Walkmen song because he doesn\u2019t do that in his show, well, he does, but not this one. Hamilton Leithauser, come on down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cThere he is, the beautiful man. Alright, you good? I\u2019m just gonna dance on the side of the stage. Love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton, who is currently supporting The Strokes on their North America tour, then took over vocal duties while the rest of the band backed him for a version very similar to the original, with its Strokes like guitar riff. Support comes from\u00a0Thundercat,\u00a0Cage The Elephant,\u00a0Hamilton Leithauser,\u00a0Fat White Family, Alex Cameron and \u00d6L\u00dcM, and\u00a0more dates have been added\u00a0due to huge demand.<\/p>\n<div class=\"td-a-ad id_inline_ad2 id_ad_content-horiz-center\"><span class=\"td-adspot-title\">Advertisement<\/span>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-article-2\" class=\"lazy-ad\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>All of these shows will see The Strokes perform without guitarist Nick Valensi, as the band confirmed recently that he\u00a0would be taking a \u201ctemporary break\u201d\u00a0from playing live.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Albert Hammond Jr. recently shared why the release of The Strokes\u2019 new album \u2018Reality Awaits, \u2019 has been delayed.<\/p>\n<p>The band had been preparing to release their seventh studio album, with its original date having been set for June 26. However, earlier this month, they announced that it had been pushed back to July 24, without providing a reason. Pre-order the record here.<\/p>\n<p>In a since-deleted response to a fan on X, he explained\u00a0that they decided to\u00a0shift it four weeks later\u00a0because they wanted the streaming release date to match that of the vinyl release. In his comments, he also said\u00a0he thinks the music on the album sounds like that made by a \u201cweird, young band\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Hammond\u2019s comments on the\u00a0new music\u00a0echo what he said last month, when\u00a0he referred to \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019 as his \u201cfavourite album\u201d that The Strokes have ever made. \u201cI can\u2019t express how beautiful it is,\u201d he said. \u201cI listen to the whole thing and wanna start from the beginning again.
