The Milwaukee Bucks selected Brayden Burries with the No. 10 pick on Tuesday in the NBA Draft. Burries averaged 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists in his lone season at Arizona.<\/p>\n

Burries brings a strong blend of shooting and ballhandling. Defenders have to stay honest on him because of how comfortable and confident he is pulling up from a variety of spots on the court. He can also get downhill and score at the rim because of how strong he is. When he was younger, driving was the main part of his skill set, but he has rounded his game to become one of the best three-level scorers in his age group while also playing at his own pace. Goes in straight lines toward the rim as a driver and with his gathers. There are no rounded angles here; he\u2019s trying to get downhill and go through bodies where he can with sharp footwork.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s not a high-level passer or playmaker, and he has not proven that he sees many advanced reads. At just under 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Burries isn\u2019t a selfish player and will look for his teammates but he hasn\u2019t shown a lot yet in terms of vision or seeing the entire court on his drives. He is very much a scoring-minded player and has struggled with turnovers at the AAU level, where he posted a negative assist-to-turnover ratio with 58 assists to 59 turnovers.<\/p>\n
