Lifts will spin from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week, giving skiers the time they need to enjoy elusive mid-summer slush laps in North America.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For freestyle fans, Banff Sunshine offers three terrain parks filled with various jib features to satisfy that park itch.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This past winter, the resort experienced its second snowiest season on record. <\/strong>A total of 404 inches (1,025 centimeters) of snow fell on the resort during the 2025-26 season, massively exceeding its average snowfall of 242 inches (614 centimeters). The resort ended its winter season on May 18, but its deep snowpack at higher elevations has allowed for over two weeks of summer skiing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/banff-sunshine-ab-records-second-snowiest-season-on-record-plans-for-summer-skiing\/\">Banff Sunshine, AB, Records Second Snowiest Season on Record, Plans for Summer Skiing<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u201cWe got to the end of our ski season and we\u2019re looking around and we said \u2018Holy mackerel moly, we still have a ton of snow left.\u2019 <\/strong>It is a certainty that we\u2019ll be able to open for summer skiing,\u201d Kendra Scurfield, the vice president of brand and communications at Banff Sunshine Village, said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/calgary\/article\/sunshine-village-set-for-extended-summer-ski-season\/\"><em>CTV News<\/em> article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In 2022, Banff Sunshine opened for summer skiing for just six days.\u00a0<\/strong>It has been 35 years since the resort had a proper extended summer skiing period, making this season\u2019s 16-day period a rarity. For skiers who have dreamed of mid-summer laps in North America, Banff Sunshine\u2019s extended season offers a rare opportunity to do just that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Access to Banff Sunshine\u2019s slopes is free for 2026-27 Sunshine Season Pass holders, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skibig3.com\/vacation-specials\/?utm_source=Google&amp;utm_medium=cpc&amp;utm_campaign=WR+_+2026-2027+_+Google+Search+_+USA+_+Destination+_+Search+_+All+USA+Brand&amp;gclsrc=aw.ds&amp;gad_source=1&amp;gad_campaignid=14173064055&amp;gbraid=0AAAAACOgTlx_HkNWZpjgbFLYjP_Fxtgjn&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwuuPRBhAnEiwA2Ji8epSwF5F2mCPTo09h5aeXomkiDZQxqj9bTeDecYB-6HMDjrdKOmFrmxoCLUQQAvD_BwE\">Ski Big3<\/a> Season Pass holders, Rocky Mountain Passport, and guests staying at Sunshine Mountain Lodge, Banff\u2019s only ski-in ski-out hotel. <\/strong>In addition, 2026-27 Midweek Pass Holders can access the slopes Monday through Thursday.
