Whatever it was, time spent on the mountain with our dads often creates memories that last a lifetime.<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"2\"><strong>We recently asked the SnowBrains community a simple question: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/snowbrains\/posts\/pfbid0yUfktLbyQDXHgUBqp953zR1wcRNhkDr5HEaQoeL743GnRwJYgMS3R2BdX9ZeprBvl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">What is your favorite memory about skiing or snowboarding with your dad?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"3\"><strong>The responses were a beautiful avalanche of nostalgia.<\/strong> It was clear that our father\u2019s love of skiing created a generational bond for many of us. He would call out \u2018c\u2019mon, it\u2019s time to go\u2019, and as a little tyke I would say (as we all would) \u2018one more dad, one more.\u2019 All of us know how that went! I used to borrow his hat when I would get cold, because I was to cool to bring a beanie. He was an amazing skier (he skied Tuckerman\u2019s back in the 30\u2019s). He encouraged all of us to ski. I\u2019m still skiing in my 70s and my younger sister is still skiing. My dad was a well-known jumper known as \u2018The Wild Irish Rose\u2019. He won most of the jumping tournaments in Colorado in the 30\u2019s and 40\u2019s. He coached me in the \u201840\u2019s and 50\u2019s. In my senior year of high school, I decided to jump the 90-meter jump in Steamboat\u2026 I managed to make 3 jumps without killing myself and he was proud of me.\u201d \u2014 Joe M.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0\">Too many great memories. He\u2019d lift it up and a stream of wine would pour into his mouth. Then he lift the skin up with the stream still flowing and never miss a drop. He drove overnight cutting through Canada from Detroit and parked with a view of the mountain and when I woke up I remember just getting wide eyed and thinking wooooahhhh! He signed me up for a lesson. He said he was riding up the lift by himself and saw me skiing alone down the run without the ski class! So he caught up to me and asked why I wasn\u2019t doing the lesson, I said they were too slow and I didn\u2019t want to wait.
