Bahrain-Victorious rider Jakob Omrzel was 1:26 behind in third.<\/p>\n<p>Lipowitz finished third in last year\u2019s Tour de France. He was second overall in the 2025 Paris-Nice and also runner-up in this year\u2019s Itzulia Basque Country and Tour de Romandie.<\/p>\n<p>Given that quality, Saturday\u2019s success is\u2014surprisingly\u2014his first victory since winning the GC of the Sibiu Cycling Tour in July 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m super happy to have a win. It took now two years,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m really proud how we were racing as a team.<\/p>\n<p>He and Pellizzari attacked on the Vr\u0161i\u010d Pass, the highest mountain pass in Slovenia, and left the rest of the field behind. Lipowitz dropped his teammate near the top but they linked back up and raced into the finish together.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-placeholder-wrapper relative w-full border-t border-b border-border-light col-span-full my-3 md:col-span-10 md:col-start-2\">\n<div class=\"mb-[30px] min-h-[30px] text-center\"><span class=\"font-utility-4 font-medium tracking-[1px] text-neutral-500 uppercase\">ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cCongrats to the team \u2013 they did a really good job today. I had a little bit more pressure on myself,\u201d Lipowitz said. \u201cIn the end I felt good.
