In fact, the entire state of Utah had a disappointing winter, with the Beehive State registering a record-low snowpack as it moved into its summer season.

But amid an unsatisfying season, Snowbird made the most of it. Skiers shared dozens of powder turns, with The Cirque, Baldy, Mineral Basin, and Baldy’s Bowl holding some of the resort’s best powder throughout the year. Sure, a few extra rocks, stumps, and trees were exposed from the resort’s relatively dry season, but Snowbird’s skiers saw it as an opportunity to challenge themselves and sharpen their skills, all while riding the world-class terrain located in the Little Cottonwood Canyon.

“So, worst winter?” the narrator asked. “You can say that, but we would rather have this season here than be anywhere but Snowbird.”

Thus, while Snowbird enjoys its summer operations filled with hiking, biking, climbing, and more, it is a safe bet that The Bird is looking forward to another powder-filled 2026-27 winter season. Passes are currently on sale at Snowbird.com.

Related: 2026-27 Alta-Bird, UT, Passes Are Now On Sale — With a Price Increase of $130

About Snowbird

Located in the Little Cottonwood Canyons of Utah, Snowbird Resort is a top ski destination for powder hounds around the world. Known for its steep, challenging terrain and abundance of fresh snow, Snowbird features 2,500 acres of skiable terrain and 3,000 feet of vertical.
