\n\tOlivia Rodrigo was just a girl in the crowd at No Doubt\u2018s final residency gig at Las Vegas\u2019 Sphere on Saturday night (June 13) who was looking for some love from singer Gwen Stefani. In keeping with the vocalist\u2019s tradition during the 18-show run of pulling a megafan out of the crowd and bringing them up for a hug, Stefani spotted a sign in the audience begging for some attention and acted accordingly.<\/p>\n

\n\tOnly this time it was being held by fellow pop singer Rodrigo \u2014 who released her acclaimed third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love<\/em> just one day before \u2014\u00a0whose pink sign read: \u201cI\u2019m just a girl who wants the last hug at the last show.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tStefani loved it, shouting, \u201cIs that Olivia Rodrigo? Oh my gosh. Give it up for Olivia Rodrigo! She has a new record that just came out.\u201d For her part, Rodrigo, wearing black boots, a black and white striped miniskirt, yellow T-shirt and white baseball hat, was elated by the hug and the shout out to her new LP, waving to the crowd and leaning in for her promised hug before grabbing Stefani\u2019s mic and saying, \u201cNo Doubt, best band in the world! I love you so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe women hugged two more times before Rodrigo sprinted off stage and Stefani promised the cheering crowd, \u201cthat was really her. That was not a mask.\u201d Stefani then later thanked Rodrigo again in an X post featuring fan video of the interaction, writing, \u201cthank u so much for coming @oliviarodrigo.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe superstar summit came two years after No Doubt first reunited at Coachella in 2024, where Rodrigo popped out as a surprise guest on a run through \u201cBathwater.\u201d In a testament to her fandom, for that show Rodrigo donned a Stefani-coded pair of black dress pants, and a white tank top with red bra visible underneath that read \u201cI \u2764\ufe0f ND.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition, during her 2025 Lollapalooza Chile headlining set, Rodrigo covered No Doubt\u2019s 1996 Billboard Pop Airplay chart No. 1 hit \u201cDon\u2019t Speak,\u201d telling the crowd, \u201cthis next one is one of my favorite songs that I didn\u2019t write. I\u2019m very jealous of the people who wrote it, because I think it\u2019s amazing.\u201d She also had the band\u2019s \u201cJust a Girl\u201d on her setlist during her 2022 North American Sour tour.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen No Doubt kicked off their 18-show run on May 6, Stefani became the first woman to headline the iconic venue that has so far welcomed acts including U2, Phish, Dead & Company, the Eagles, Anyma, Kenny Chesney, the Backstreet Boys, Chase & Status, Zac Brown Band and Illenium.<\/p>\n
