After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/dragons-dogma-2-patch-update-june-2026\">returning to the two-year-old Dragon&#8217;s Dogma 2 last week to clean things up<\/a> ahead of its Dark Arisen expansion, the PC port of 2011&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3\">Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3<\/a> has also just received its first new patch in years. Sadly, it appears to have broken more than it has fixed.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3&#8217;s new patch is the first to receive <a href=\"https:\/\/store.steampowered.com\/news\/app\/357190\/view\/671745681362257599\">actual Steam patch notes<\/a> since 2017, but they&#8217;re limited. According to Capcom, this latest update provides &#8220;verified compatibility with Windows 11&#8221; and &#8220;miscellaneous bug fixes&#8221;, which sounds good on paper. Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Games\/comments\/1u693s7\/comment\/orr2blk\/\">however<\/a>, &#8220;she will die instead of transform&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Other contentious changes include a fix to prevent players from <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LiberalTerminat\/status\/2066393687727186218?s=20\">executing the &#8216;Kubota escape&#8217;<\/a> &#8211; a mechanic that first made it into the game as an unintended &#8220;bug&#8221;, but which has been embraced by the community over the years.
