The brand leans into its size, calling itself the \u201cbiggest little ski company in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>On snow, Moment leans toward the freeride and all-mountain skier who wants a playful, surfy feel underfoot.<\/strong> Models like the Countach are floaty enough for powder days yet stay maneuverable in chop and tight spots, while the all-mountain shapes handle everything from groomers to crud without specializing in any one condition. Meier also uses a bio-based epoxy and minimal-ink topsheets to reduce its environmental impact. It even reuses ski materials for shipping products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Need new skis and have an hour of spare time?\u00a0<\/strong>You can watch your skis get pressed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/meier-skis-opens-the-couloir-a-new-apres-bar-inside-its-denver-factoryy\/\">Meier Craft Skiery<\/a>. For freestyle skiers who prioritize playfulness, J Skis is a household name.<\/p>\n<p><strong>J Skis was founded by Jason Levinthal, a medal winner from the X Games\u2019 first-ever ski slopestyle competition. <\/strong>Levinthal is the inventor of the first twin-tip ski, and he founded LINE Skis in 1995 as a college student at the University of Buffalo. Prices range from roughly $499 to $769, with graphics hand-signed and numbered in limited runs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Shaggy\u2019s Skis<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Michigan\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skishaggys.com\/?srsltid=AfmBOop_Q-sC6gM3d5Y1nExQDUNTd1YAOtbdwukYxvBNcxrTTZ0JypVE\">Shaggy\u2019s Skis<\/a> is a popular small ski brand with SnowBrains readers.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Brothers Jeff and Jonathon Thompson began building skis as a hobby before releasing the first line of Shaggy\u2019s in 2008.\u00a0<\/strong>Today, Shaggy\u2019s continues to handcraft its skis at its own factory in Boyne City, Michigan, controlling production from start to finish. As a family-owned and operated business, Shaggy\u2019s provides top-notch customer service and maintains high standards for the quality of its skis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Built with an Eastern and Midwest bias, Shaggy\u2019s skis favor strong grip and stability on the hardpack and machine-made snow that define those regions, with models tuned for everyone from groomer carvers to big-mountain and terrain-park skiers.<\/strong> The skis are handcrafted from locally sourced ash and poplar, and because Shaggy\u2019s sells exclusively in-house rather than through retailers, buyers can spec custom options.
